Alright so I know you're probably looking at this and thinking, "SNOW DAY??" But stay with me on this one. Let me start by saying that today I traveled for a whopping 10+ hours to Virginia for work where I was supposed to arrive at 4pm ET and go directly to my hotel for the evening. With the weather going crazy, my 1 hour layover in Cincinnati turned into 3 hours - and the rest of my co-workers were also delayed coming into Richmond. SOO unexpectedly I was to report straight to work once landing in VA to make up for the missing support that was coming into Richmond who were far more delayed than those of us flying into Norfolk. Now this lil Cali girl loves to be comfy on the plane, and yes that means I like to fly in flip flops because they are easy to take off for security and on the plane. Naturally when I woke up at 4am in CA, said flip flops sounded like a great idea since I would be going straight to my hotel, thus avoiding any of the cold elements of the storm that was going to hit later in the evening. HOWEVER since I did NOT end up going straight to my hotel I got to experience snowfall in flip flops, yeah its about as awesome as it sounds... MORAL of this story: Although in life you should sometimes plan, but sometimes wing it - YOU SHOULD ALWAYS, ALWAYS PLAN WHEN TRAVELING.
P.S. Don't tell anyone, but I was stoked to see it snow!
