I know I'm usually one for spewing every thought I have in my little head, but for some reason I've been a little more quite and M.I.A. compared to normal. I'm not sure why. Maybe my superstitious side is coming through and I'm afraid to jinx what I already believe is too good to be true. Perhaps the last few months have taught me a valuable lesson in keeping my mouth shut and not speaking too soon. Doubtful, but you never know. I will say this though - the last two weeks have truly been somewhat of a fairytale and I'm not ready to wake up just yet.

Ahh, Friday! So happy the weekend is here especially because there is so much to celebrate and be grateful for in my life! Tonight will be spent making pizza, drinking vino, and watching Casablanca with a special someone - I can't believe I've never seen it! Then I'll be heading home to spend some much needed quality time with my fam and friends in Ojai. It's going to be a beautiful weekend and I'm looking forward to digging through my Easter basket. I'm pretty sure the Easter Bunny made a stop at Sephora this year!

Yesterday was quite possibly one of the most exciting days I've had in a long while and to top it all off it ended with date night at the Griffith Observatory. I'm one happy lady these days and you know why? Because you only get out of life what you're willing to put in and I've put in a lot of hard work! Love it.

I'm on the hunt for some cool new graphic art for my ever growing gallery wall. On Sunday I hit up a few Vintage/Thrift stores and scored an amazing gold vintage frame for only 8 bucks and now it desperately needs a little something to go in it - although it does look rather good empty now that I think about it. Feeling inspired by the above prints - perhaps its high time I got back into my illustrator skills and created a little something of my own. My creative wheels are spinning....

I seem to fall in love, like, or lust everyday of my life. Not that I'm complaining. When I find something I love, like, or lust I just go with it. I don't hold back. The person/object/idea gets 100% of me. And you know what, I'm not sorry. Right now I'm totally in love, like, lust with these images and a cute new boy. Duh.

After passing this book several times in Anthropologie I finally decided to pick it up and give it a try. Not particularly for any reason other than the sheer fact that we can all benefit from learning from someone else's journey. Even though I wouldn't classify myself as "UNHAPPY" at the point that I finally decided to buy the book, but I will say I was in a slight funk and this was just what I needed apparently. I'm only half way through it, but so far I definitely think it's worth recommending. And on that note I've decided to start a book club and I'm pretty excited about it!

First order of the day - cleaning my apt. Actually coffee was the the first order of the day, but now its time to clean, clean, clean. You can't be inwardly successful if your outwardly life is a mess now can you? Nope. Plus I have a date tonight and you just never know who will suddenly pop by for a little visit during the day. Lately I've been inundated with apartment envy. Okay make that space envy. I live in a studio apartment and although I love my Beverly Hills address, I've been thinking about leaving my tiny abode in a quest for more space. However, after watching this video of Felice Cohen in her 90 sq ft apartment in NYC, I feel that I have more than enough space! Perhaps that's an exaggeration, but I do feel like my space is possibly the perfect size for me. Sure I could use another closet, but won't that always be the case for a fashion lover like myself?! I think so. Thinking I'll stay put for a little while longer. Maybe some redecorating or furniture arranging is in order? Besides, just the thought of moving has already exhausted me.

A 12 day hiatus...WOW. I've been MIA in more ways than one.

Where shall I begin? My trip to the Philippines started off with a bang and ended with silence. I'm not going to recount the details, because quite frankly its now in the past and I'm sick of talking about it. I landed last Thursday night and immediately went to In & Out. I spent my long weekend trying to combat my horrendous case of jet lag and catch up with my long lost friends, which only resulted in me getting a nasty head cold. The last few days I've come home from work hit the bottle of Ny-quil and was out like a light until sunrise. BUT, I'm back. And that my friends is the point. Everyone needs a little break every once in a while. That's life and now my life must go back to it's normally scheduled programing. I've missed it here. Did you miss me? Speaking of my life, I've been utterly obsessed with all things tribal as of late. This Free People shoot nails it. Love it.

Harpers Bazaar - April 2011

April already?! That happened fast. I guess I've just been having a little too much fun lately and the time has just been flying by. A little exhausted from traveling, but enjoying my time in the Philippines. I can't think of a better way to end the first day of the month than by sitting pool side, having cocktails at sunset with coworkers/old friends. Oh and I may be on the other side of the world, but I did hear that the Dodgers beat the Giants. Way to start the season. Life is beautiful.
