Today was possibly one of the most PERFECT LA days. The sun was shinning, the sky was a brilliant blue, the weather was an amazing 73 degrees and I was wearing my newly inherited Tory Burch fuchsia suede flats. Besides feeling slightly sleepy this morning I could not have had a better day. I met a friend for coffee, sat in the sun, did some creative sketching, walked around B. Hills and then did a lil shopping. What started out as comparison shopping/visual idea hunting quickly turned into me pushing my fashion boundaries - remember no fear in 2010!! I made a few unexpected purchases, which I am REALLLLLY excited about, including a new lipstick that I can't wait to debut.
While I was in Madewell admiring a v-neck tee with a sequin pocket and thinking about creating my own version, I heard a voice that was all too familiar for me not to look up to see who it was coming from... There standing 5 ft from me was one of my fav actresses, Reese Witherspoon. I adore her so it was quite exciting to see her up close and personal. Although I don't consider myself the type to get "star struck" I do find it exciting to see a celebrity, especially one you actually like. I love Reese's casual style and its of no surprise to find her shopping at Madewell, which also happens to be one of my fav stores. Not only do I love Madewell's merchandise, but I also find the store to be quite visually appealing in all their displays and merchandising techniques. Just as I was leaving the store and getting over my shock, I found a fantastic pair of denim shorts that will be a great transition into my spring wardrobe on sale for $9.99! Naturally I snatched them up - What a perfect day!
