To say that August was a whirlwind would be the understatement of the year for me. So I must apologize for the lack of intelligent posts in the last few weeks. Life on the road has pretty much taken everything out of me and I'm looking forward to slowing down a bit in the coming weeks (a girl can dream right?) Here's a quick recap of August....

- Houston, TX (8 days)
- Seattle/Olympia, WA (5 days)
- San Antonio, TX (10 days)

I basically spent a majority of the month in Texas where everything is bigger, the highways are confusing, and the weather hotter than H-E-Double Hockey sticks. However, August also brought me to a city that I had always wanted to visit....SEATTLE. My time there was minimal, but naturally I made time for all the really important things like patronizing the original Starbucks and taking a spin through the Public Market at sunset, which was gorgeous despite the fish guts. We grabbed a dinner to die for at a Bolivian restaurant right above the fish market where we ate outside and caught the end of the sun setting over the water. The view was AH-MAZING and the flowers lining the rooftops were picturesque. I can officially declare that I'm in LOVE with Seattle. The city was beyond beautiful and I'm looking forward to going back to really explore. The rest of my trip to Washington was spent in the capitol, Olympia, which was also beyond my expectations in the beauty department. It was in Olympia that I happened upon "Dumpster Values" which just happened to be a jackpot of a thrift/vintage store. Amongst all the treasures I found a true gem....a fur bomber jacket at the whopping price of $40.00. Its currently at the cleaners getting de-bugged otherwise I would've added a picture. It's really to die for. I wanted to wear it during my rendition of Fleetwood's "Little Lies" when we came upon a dive that was having a karaoke night, but I resisted the urge to channel my inner Stevie and belted my little heart out solo. All in all another fabulous trip in the books and another city made a little more stylish by a job well done. Tomorrow's post.....My So-Called Life Part 2: Teaxassssss. It's going to be HUGE.
