..::Some Kind of Crazy::..

Photobucket

I spend the majority of my week in downtown Los Angeles, where I see some kind of crazy EVERYDAY. Most days its some guy talking to himself on the corner as I walk into the office and other days its the amount of condoms I find in the street during the short distance from my car to my desk. Everyday is a new adventure and with each new adventure a new kind of crazy gets added to the list. With all the crazy in my day, it got me thinking about what normal is. How do we define normal other than by comparing what we think to be abnormal? We are constantly comparing ourselves to others in order to define ourselves. Wether it's the "crazy" friend that makes you feel like less of a nut or the "slutty" friend that makes your pillow sessions seem like a G rated movie...its all the same. When you decidedly look at a person, label them, and then label yourself in comparison all you're doing is trying to make yourself feel better about your actions. Why not just control your actions in the first place? If you don't want to feel like a slut then stop sleeping around and stop telling me you're not as bad as your best friend because you're basically telling me you are that bad. Right? RIGHT. Sheeesh.
