..::Adventures in Cupcakes::..

Today is my love's birthday and he is on the other side of the world (okay he's in Boston, but it

might as well be the other side of the world as far as I'm concerned). To celebrate his birth I stopped by the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM this morning and got myself 

a red velvet treat to enjoy all by my lonesome. Then I

stopped by the Grove to pick up a birthday present that he would never imagine he would be getting. I can't wait for him to come home and to see the look on his face!!!

I know that its hard to be a super positive person ALLLLLL the time. 

I know because I've tried. However its not hard to be a pleasant person most

of the time. I know I'm prone to a few bad days and funky moods here and

there, but man being happy is so MUCH more FUN! I've been challenging

myself to smile at strangers, go out of my way for little random acts of kindness, 

and having more conversations with people I encounter. Mostly I've been

challenging myself to slow down a bit and enjoy the little things in life. 

I must say it has me in the best of moods! I highly recommend you give it a try, 

but if you're having a "day" then by all means have it. Just remember how 

easily your bad day can ruin someone else's sunny disposition.

Today I think I successfully made 10 different lists. I crossed them 

off checked them twice and now I can't even keep my head straight.

I know I have things to attend to on the home front, but this list making gal can't make one more 
list today. I'm pooped. Looks like it's a bad TV, glass of wine kinda Monday. Hooray!

There are days when I wake up and can't find a single

thing in my closet that I'd like to put on. Other days it seems

my closet is a black hole of endless possibilities. Weird, right? 

I think most girls can agree, that a change in the weather equals

and undeniable urge to go shopping for a new wardrobe appropriate 

for the new season. Or maybe its just me.....

I truly enjoy nothing more than waking up early on Saturday, 

drinking coffee, and having a few moments to myself before the 

day begins. Its priceless sometimes, to sit and be quiet in a 

world full of endless chatter. Today I pick up my new car and then 

the manfriend and I are off for an adventure about town!

Phew!! I'm so happy its Thursday night!!

To say that this week has been a whirl wind of emails and phone tag would 

be putting it mildly. My trusty iphone died three times this week before I even made it home. 

I didn't find myself in Vegas after all and although I'm bummed I'm glad I got to skip the airport hokey pokey this week. I can't wait for a relaxing weekend at home with my manfriend, and a celebration on Saturday night with a few of my fav people in LA.
