Wow. I can hardly believe that its mid June already. I've had a hectic couple of weeks and it doesn't look like anything is going to slow down anytime soon. Thus the lack of posts - I suck when life gets busy. However I am going to make a better effort to sneak in some more blog time, I promise! As for now I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening at home to recover from the craziness that was my weekend. Too much fun has left me feeling like I need a trip to Betty Ford for some detox.

As most creative people can attest, there are days that you just don't feel on top of your "A" Game. For some reason that has been me this week. I know it's partly because I'm trying to think outside of the box and partly because I'm overwhelmed with stuff on my "To Do" lists. Either way these pictures from Pom Pom Factory sure did lift my spirits this morning...and just in time too! I was beginning to think that I would be stuck in a design rut forever.

..::Wonder Woman Wannabe::..

My version of Wonder Woman would obviously carry a chic CHANEL briefcase. Sorry I've been MIA for the last few weeks. I guess you could say I've been running around attempting to act like Wonder Woman myself AND I'm EXHAUSTED. Today I came to the realization that I've been trying to do everything and be everywhere all at once for the last 3 weeks. Being overwhelmed has never been my strong suit, so here I go continually trying to tackle the mountain of things that lie in front of me. I really can't wait for the weekend, not that it will be any less busy, but it will be a lot more fun.

Last week I received one of the biggest compliments of my life from a complete stranger. I arrived home from the gym on Friday afternoon to a crowd of people standing outside my apartment door. I was sweaty and not in the mood to entertain, but I quickly realized my apartment manager was among the bunch. Clearly she was about to show my apartment without asking me and that had me a little peeved. Luckily she was showing it to a cute blonde girl who was accompanied by her mom and sister and I could see the excitement on her face, so I remained calm and collected and graciously invited them in to take a look around. I was happy to see that someone had made my bed for me that morning (scoring some major brownie points due to this impromptu apartment viewing). The young girl walked around gushing over how perfect the apartment was and how she wanted to decorate it just like I had done. Her mom agreed and added, "It looks like something right out of Apartment Therapy." WOW! I was floored and beyond excited by the wonderful compliment to my decorating and design skills. Needless to say I'm even more excited to begin decorating my new apartment. The moving countdown has begun...

..::Tick, Tock, Clock::..

Time. Time. TIME. There's never enough of it, right? At least that's how I always feel. I'm off to Vegas this afternoon for the rest of the week to do a major installation. As always things will be slightly hectic, but oh so rewarding once we are finished. I know its only Monday, but I can't wait to be sitting on the plane coming home on Friday to celebrate a special someone's birthday for the weekend. I've got all sorts of tricks up my sleeve and keeping secrets has never been my forte so I'm ready for it all to come out already! Till then....tick tock goes the clock. On a side note, I think this is a really cute idea for a wall in a living room. Now I'm wishing I would've picked up the pink vintage clock I spotted at the flea market yesterday. Oh well. Maybe next time.

It's funny how sometimes what I'm doing in real life seems to pop up via the internet at the same time. I found this photo on one of my fav blogs, Design Love Fest, and consequently I happen to be covered in those exact paint colors as I type. Our summer installation has me painting up a storm and literally coming home with my work all over me! I had a man come up to me at the gym to tell me that I had something pink all over my arm. Haha. Love it.

Wishing for some new items for my new apartment....well hopefully my new apartment. I should know by tonight if it's mine. I'm thinking that the Hello Kitty magnet left on the fridge by the previous tenant is a sign that this apartment was meant for me. Fingers crossed. This place has 3 closets....you can imagine what that means for a girl who has been living with one closet for the last year. HEAVEN ON EARTH.
