No one can have a bad birthday when you start your morning with a Texas shaped waffle.

Laredo, I will not miss you, but thanks for the laughs and all the free vodka rickeys. I can't wait to get home tomorrow and enjoy a lovely 5 day mini holiday.

Tis the eve of my birthday and here I sit in a hotel in Laredo, TX. This is the third year I've spent my birthday on the road for work - San Fran, Boston, and now Laredo. The first two years were quite spectacular but Laredo has not been stellar so far. At least I checked into a new hotel this morning that promises hot water for my shower in the morning, unlike the establishment I spent the last few nights in. Home or not, I have a feeling that this will be another fabulous year that I am about to embark on. Feeling loved and blessed and in the end thats really all that matters. Here's to the next chapter...Oh and can someone find me this wine glass?! Thanks.

Its a wake up early on accident, large coffee, craft all day kinda of Saturday. Enjoying a relaxing day at home doing things that I've been thinking of doing for months now. Feels so good to accomplish things on your long term goals list! Can't wait to show you what I'm creating. I'm playing with the idea of opening up an etsy shop...more on that to come! Meanwhile, I was playing around on BHLDN.com this morning and was instantly inspired by these adorable lil critter placeholders. Seriously the gold hoves/feet are amazing. I think I need these in my life - pronto and since Lolopalooza has officially begun I just might have to make a purchase. Happy Saturday!

I think I've finally figured it out. I think I know why I've abandoned blogging for the last few months and it has nothing to do with my how fabulous my life is. To be honest, I've been unmotivated to blog because of the amount of people who have blogs. I mean EVERYONE and their mother has a blog now. I guess to sum it up I've been feeling not so special anymore, not that was the reason for the blog in the first place, but you know what I mean. There are only so many times in a day that you can hear someone say, "Check out my blog, blah, blah, blah." So what to do now that I've identified the problem? Keep blogging because at the end of the day, I don't do it for anyone else but myself.

I heard this yesterday and I've decided this is my new mantra. Why put off my dreams for someday when that day doesn't even exist? Something to think about don't you think?! So happy its FRIDAY! Dinner with my bestie tonight at our fav lil mexican spot in B Hills.

Probably the hardest thing about cohabitation is picking stuff to put on the walls. Le sigh. I found this Andy Warhol print that we could agree on for the kitchen, but man, I'm having a tough time in the living room and don't get me started on the bedroom. I don't know that I'll ever been done decorating at the rate I'm moving! I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them...that is if anyone is still reading this thing after my abandonment! Three cheers for Thursday....one more day of work for the week!

Lately I can't get the idea of an "end of bed" bench out of my day dreams. My MANfriend brought up a really great point the other day, "Where do you put your extra pillows when you go to sleep if you don't have something at the end of the bed to put them on." Currently the answer to that question is the floor next to the bed, but later that day his statement began to fuel my desire for such an item for my bedroom. I've been casually looking for such an item, yet nothing I've come across has seemed worthy. The search continues.

Wow, a whole month has disappeared into thin air. I'm not quite sure where October went to be honest. Works been busy and the weekends even busier. Now that the holiday season is upon us its only going to get more insane, but I'll try harder this month to be around sharing inspiration and things I'm up to. I have so much going on in my lil head, I don't even know where to begin! I can't wait to see where the last two months of 2011 take me!

Well it took a little bit or organization and negotiation, but the cohabitation has begun. Still trying to find that balance between girly and manly. However this dining room is a pretty good direction to go in. We'll get there eventually. I'm just thrilled to be on this road with the love of my life. Really nothing else matters.
