Yup, that's right moving day will be here before I know it and I'm getting all sorts of excited, especially after stumbling across Blik.com just now. I love how these simple decals can really make a statement on a bare wall. In true form I'm getting ahead of myself considering I don't yet have said new apartment, but in a few weeks, you can bet I'll be heading back to order up some of these fun decals to spice up any lack luster walls in my new abode. I love vintage images. Just looking at them takes me into a dreamlike state wondering what the world was like "back then." I'm off to Disneyland today to relive all the magic of being a lil kid. I am especially looking forward to jumping on the hotel bed the minute I get into the room and eating cotton candy! Nothing like a day full of tomfoolery to make you forget the fact that I just got my 3rd parking ticket of 2010. Yeah I'm that awesome.

..::Designer Thursday: Oscar de la FABULOUS

Oooh LA LA! Totally in love love love with these looks from Oscar de la Renta's Fall 2010 RTW runway! That cobalt blue dress is PERFECTION. Such an amazing colour - so rich in it's hue and begging to be worn out for a fabulous evening event. Also very much in love with the combination of the red, olive, purple in the first look - tre chic - and perfect for those winter time blues. I can't believe I'm talking fall 2010 already. Le sigh, always getting ahead of myself.

..::Cupcake Obsessed

I've written about cupcakes quite a few times, but I just can't help myself, I mean have you had one lately? Have you ever experienced the magic that is a cupcake after having the most horrible day? Or what about cupcakes for breakfast? Could you think of a better way to start your day, uh I DON'T THINK SO! Okay well maybe its ONE of the best ways to start your day...

Anyways, I had a particularly stressful day at work today, but when I saw this it totally turned it around. First of all it seriously made me want a cupcake, but it also reminded me of something that I think most people forget when they are caught up in the daily grind of life: Some things just aren't that serious. No matter what you're facing, although terrible it might be in that moment, life will go on regardless....with or without you, but lets be honest, life's far too short for you to just let it pass you by like that. Life isn't about stressing about things you can't change, there's no point. Its all about attitude. You might not be able to change your situation, but you can most definitely choose how you react to it. I'll be the first to admit that its easier said than done, but maybe every once in a while we just need to remind ourselves to "Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake."

Sure we all have junk lying around our homes, but it takes a pure genius to be able to turn junk into a masterpiece. Enter Jason Mecier. I find it particularly fascinating that he's chosen to sculpt some of the greatest Pop Icons of all time out of JUNK. Nothing spells success quite like Campbells Soup...just ask Andy.
